Karen has lived and worked in Newfoundland, Bermuda and Vancouver Island. With over 30 years of experience as a CPA, CA, Karen held a variety of senior finance positions throughout her career: Senior Manager at Grant Thornton, Assistant Auditor General for Government of Bermuda, Partner & Finance Director at JLT Bermuda, and Director of Finance & Administration at Children's Health Foundation of Vancouver Island. Most recently, Karen was Director, Corporate Accounting at BC Investment Management Corporation. After retiring in 2022, Karen completed the Master Gardener Certificate and she is looking forward to having more time to work on her acreage and continue learning through HCP courses.
