A woodland setting demonstrates a harmonious garden with year-round interest by displaying both evergreen and deciduous Rhododendrons.
This garden has several varieties of hostas selected for their small to medium sizes as well as species and new hybrids. The Hostas act as companion plants to the Rhododendrons with their unusual leaf textures, colours, and flowers after the peak of Rhododendrons in late April to early June. Several Magnolia trees and Primula add color in the Spring. They are underplanted with plants having similar cultural requirements including hellebore, ferns, and hardy fuchsia to extend seasons of interest.
