Arts & Music in the Gardens – August 25 & 26
Our annual Arts & Music in the Gardens festival is a highlight for many locals’ summer calendars and is happening this weekend, August 25th & 26th from 10 am – 4 pm each day. Our 9 acres of demonstration gardens are in their late summer glory and the quiet sounds of birds and wind are accompanied by replaced with talented local musicians, visitors meeting artists, and friends spending the day together.
Arts & Music in the Gardens has really taken on the festival status over the years, with the live music to sit and ponder in the gardens by or to provide a background ambiance as you peruse the local artisans. It is a wonderful place to be. We have expanded our selection of vendors and you will also be able to pick up jam, tea and perhaps learn about backyard chickens! Your taste buds will be tickled with delicious smokies, sandwiches from Mosi’s, muffins and cookies from Sidney Bakery, and sweet ice cream. The selection of artists who will be selling their wares ranges from pottery, paintings, fabric, metalwork, jewelry, and more.
Field parking is back this year for your ease and enjoyment and we thank the U-15 Vancouver Island Wave boys soccer team for assisting us. The team is representing BC at the Nationals in Laval, Quebec this October after winning the premier cup provincials! and will be gratefully accepting donations as they fund-raise for travel and accommodation expenses at the field this weekend. Located on Beaver Road, you will be able to park easily and walk a convenient 2 minutes to the gates of the Gardens. Admission to Arts & Music is only $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
