With Latifa Pelletier-Ahmed

You may already be aware that many wild plants are edible, but do you know how and why they are good for you? This 3 hour workshop will explore the vitamin and mineral rich world of local in-season plant species. Are wild plants really much more nutrient dense than domestic plants? What are antioxidants and what are they good for? How do wild plants increase the diversity of gut bacteria and why is this important? All these questions and more will be answered in this fun and interactive educational workshop, including a short walk around the HCP gardens.
