Learn the basics of starting your veggies from seed with Linda Petite, HCP Head Gardener. Starting seeds indoors is a rewarding and effective way to get a head start in your garden. Many seeds germinate quickly and reliably without anything more than moisture and light. Linda will discuss the timing and techniques for starting seeds. Each participant will seed a 6 pack tray of seeds to take home with them.

Instructor Bio: Linda Petite
Linda is the Head Gardener at the Gardens at HCP. Prior to HCP, Linda worked in a Garden Center/Landscape company for 25 years in Antigonish, NS before heading west to Victoria; Community Education classes at HCP; plant and garden presentations to local garden clubs and community groups. Areas of interest include growing vegetables, cactus and succulents, propagation, hydrangeas, and wreath making.
