Instructor Bio: Julia Sahota
Julia has raised backyard chickens for 7 years now. She loves her birds and has enjoyed the journey of learning and developing best practice for her flock’s well-being and health. She started with one tiny coop and 6 birds and then moved from there to hatching and raising chicks in the final big chicken house. Julia has had up to 50 birds on her 5 acre property, but the flock has now settled at 25 ladies of various ages and breeds – some she hatched and had broody moms raise and some bought from a fellow enthusiast who taught her almost everything she knows about raising backyard chickens. Julia will share her wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm with anyone thinking about keeping chickens in their backyard.
