Creating a Cut Flower Garden Workshop – Winter

January 20, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

with Eiddwen Thomas

Learn the secrets of growing your own flowers for cutting and arranging with floral designer, Eiddwen Thomas. Eiddwen is the owner of Cartref Gardens, a commercial cut flower farm in North Saanich. This class is part of seasonal series on Growing your own Cut Flower Garden. Winter is a great time to reflect on how your garden did last year and to start to plan your cutting garden for the year. It is a good time to enjoy the beauty of cutting things from the garden in our Victoria winter as well as the joy of potted bulbs brought indoors. Based on the location, space and type of garden you have, the group facilitator will assist you in planning and designing your own cutting flower garden for the recreational gardener. The session will also include a demonstration on starting sweet peas and other seeds.
