Adult Community Education | Basketry | Full-day Workshop

Come spend the day with basketry instructor Joan Carrigan learning how to weave a classic round wicker basket. We will start with a radiating spoke base and weaving the sides with  a focus on shaping and design elements and incorporating some natural materials with the natural and dyed reed on hand. This classic bowl shape will be ready to put on display and use for your fall harvest.

Your registration includes admission to The Gardens at HCP - bring your lunch and enjoy the grounds.

Tool List

• Sturdy sharp scissors – like kitchen scissors,
• finer tip scissors or angled wire cutters,
• spray bottle
• an old towel.
