Instructor: Mark Patterson
Sunday, August 30 – 10:30am – 1:00pm
Learn the basics of creating Hypertufa pots and sculptures with Bonsai expert Mark Paterson.
Hypertufa uses a combination of cement and peat moss to make customizable pots and sculptures which are perfect for growing alpines, succulents, bonsai, moss, miniature gardens and more. They can also be used to make bird baths and interesting garden sculptures. Your imagination is the limit!
Participants can choose between making a small trough or a freeform pot. They will learn the basic recipe and technique and know enough to make them on your own in future. For those who prefer a workshop setting and less clean-up, we will be hosting more of these classes where you can add to your collection of hypertufa creations.
The pot needs time to cure, so participants will be required to pick their pots up within 1 – 2 weeks after class. Note that this class will be held outdoors with physical distancing in place. Please bring a mask for situations where distancing may not be possible.
