Splint Woven Basket with Side Handles
Come spend the day with basketry instructor Joan Carrigan learning how to weave a splint woven basket with side handles. This is a wonderful introduction to weaving with flat materials. We will be using flat reed/rattan splint to weave a lovely storage basket that allow us to explore plain weave, incorporate a diamond twill pattern with the addition of side handles and a lashed border. The basket at rim measures approx. 10” x 7” x 6.5”.Suitable for beginners and for those with some basketry experience.
