Rani Wiedemann, MSc.
Director
Rani is a Senior Environmental Project Manager and Professional Agrologist with McElhanney. With over 20 years of experience in environmental consulting, she began her career conducting vegetation and soil assessments for reclamation of disturbed forested, grassland and agricultural sites. After obtaining her Master of Environmental Science, she expanded into urban and rural contaminated site assessments and remediation throughout British Columbia and Alberta. Her volunteer experience includes helping with her kids’ swim meets with the Oak Bay Orcas and being a mentor within McElhanney, and previously included participation in her company’s environmental committee, elementary school parent council committee member, and community association liaison for the parent council. She has been an avid gardener from a young age when she used to help her parents with their large vegetable and flower garden in southern Alberta. Since moving to Victoria in 2021, Rani has enjoyed exploring the gardens at HCP, participating in plant sales and classes, and sharing the HCP with visitors and locals to bring greater awareness of this special place.
