The BC Integrated Pest Management (IPM) courses and exams are offered through HCP Community Education and Professional Development throughout the year.
Courses provide information and training for those working in landscaping, grounds maintenance, horticulture, forestry, and related fields to manage pests safely and in an environmentally-conscious manner, according to best practices and current legislation. In addition, this course also prepares students to write the provincial Pesticide Applicator Certificate exam.

IPM Applicator (Landscape General Category)
In-Person Training, Instructor Matt Hall
Description
Management of insects, diseases and weeds in landscaped areas including gardens, ornamental plantings, lawns and turf. (Provincial Certification Information)
Delivery
In-Person, Wed-Thu (9:00 am-4:30 pm), followed by the in-person exam on Fri. from 9:00 am-noon, in the classroom at HCP. 2-day training, mandatory textbooks, exam fees, and exam invigilation are included in course fees.

DESCRIPTION
Sell domestic-use pesticides in licensed retail sales outlets. (Provincial Certification Information)
The IPM Dispenser course (1.5 days) is offered online only. This option does not include exam fees or exam invigilation, although this option can be administrated at the HCP for local registrants for an additional fee.
