Planning your visit?
Whether you're visiting Victoria or discovering The Gardens for the first time, there are countless lovely ways to enjoy the gardens. Spend an afternoon meandering the ambling paths through our Japanese Gardens, pack a picnic and find a shady nook, observe countless birds, butterflies, and bees, or bring little ones to play in the Children's Garden. There's something at the Gardens for everyone!
Visitors are encouraged to review our Garden Etiquette section below for The Garden's policies and advisories.
- HCP Memberships are available in person at our front desk or online
- Most pathways are wheelchair and stroller friendly, but you may need extra time or assistance in sloped areas
- Please note, HCP is not responsible for any damage to visitors' mobility aids
- Touring the Gardens takes approximately one hour

- Statutory Holidays
- Inclement Weather (resulting in unsafe pathways)
- Late December through early January (Christmas season)

Garden Etiquette
Following Garden Etiquette ensures the enjoyment and safety of visitors and to provide a tranquil atmosphere for everyone visiting The Gardens at HCP. The Gardens at HCP reserve the right to deny entry or remove any person(s) failing to comply with any of the below policies and advisories.
Thank you for your cooperation.
- All persons on HCP property must follow the direction of staff
- Youths and children must be supervised
- Pets must be leashed, under control at all times, and cleaned up after
- Waste bags are available at the front desk
- Visitors must conduct themselves in a respectful manner
- For example, obscene language or clothing, abusive behavior or violence will not be tolerated
- Stay on paths and be respectful of our plants
- Do not step on or reach into flower beds
- Do not pick flowers or fruit
- Photography is welcome, but should not interfere with the enjoyment of other visitors; do not block pathways with tripods
- Professional photographers must book filming times with our Venue Coordinator

- Smoking and vaping of any kind are not permitted anywhere on the premises.
- No alcohol is allowed on the premises; but our partner restaurant Charlotte & the Quail will be pleased to serve you during their business hours
- No dispersal of ashes
