Youth Programs 2020

Moving outdoors during the pandemic has been a natural choice for family and children's activities. The range of activities includes; walks to hikes, bike rides to paddle boarding, beach combing to kayaking. Many people have taken on garden and yard renovations, even expanding on or creating vegetable growing areas with the extra time spent at home. It has been great to see and be a part of some of the amazing new programs being offered throughout our communities to provide guidance and support for growing food crops in particular.
By including children in these projects, you are creating quality time and many opportunities for learning and growing together. These life skills help everyone to be more self sufficient in providing their own food security and more connected to the earth and nature around them.
If you are looking to add a bit of garden whimsy to your activities this summer, consider joining our small, outdoor workshops with your child. Take home a project and be inspired to caring on!
