Steve Kleinschmidt is Hospitality Industry Management Consultant and Associate Faculty member at Royal Roads University based in Victoria, British Columbia. Steve was the Vice Chairman - Asset Management for Marco Polo Hotels Management Ltd in Hong Kong from 2012 to 2014. Steve was the President of Marco Polo Hotels from 2007 to 2012 and was responsible for the overall management of the group and its 13 luxury hotels and 6000 employees. Steve was the Director of the Hospitality and Leisure consulting practice for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Vancouver from 1999 to 2007 and from 1992-1999 the Managing Director and CEO Asia Pacific for the hospitality and tourism consulting practice of Pannell Kerr Forster and was based in Hong Kong. Steve has advised many of the world’s leading hotel companies and travel industry organizations throughout his career. Steve is a current member of the Board of the Horticulture Centre of the Pacific, a position he has held since 2019 and was a prior member of the Board from 2014 to 2016.
