Job Posting - Seasonal Assistant Gardener

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Gardener with general garden duties including but not limited to: pruning, weeding, watering, fertilizing, transplanting, compost maintenance, lawn care
• Work independently with minimal supervision but also able to work as part of a team
• Physical ability to perform all garden tasks including some heavy lifting
• Friendly and professional demeanor in a public garden setting

Requirements:

• Good general knowledge of plants and gardening practices
• Valid driver's license
• Competency with garden equipment and machinery
• Mechanical and irrigation experience an asset

Hours and Wages:

• Position could be either part- time or full-time; on a seasonal basis
• Monday to Friday - hours to be determined
• Hourly wage is $19/hour
