How long is the course?
The course is two full days, plus half a day for the exam.
What are the required textbooks and how much do they cost?
You MUST have the correct two books to take the course and write the exam. The textbooks cost $150 total. Please ensure you have the following books:
- #1 – Canadian Pesticide Education Program Applicator Core Manual (2011)
- #2 – Landscape Applicator Certification Manual (2017 Edition)
Do I need the textbooks to complete the course?
Yes, you must have the correct two books to take the course and write the exam.
Is the exam open book?
Yes, the exam is open book and you can use your two books for the exam.
What other IPM courses are offered other than the Landscape General?
Custom courses can be arranged for groups within and outside of Victoria for the categories of Landscape General, Forestry General, Domestic Dispenser, Agricultural General, and Industrial Vegetation Management/Noxious Weeds. Please contact [email protected] for details!
What is the refund policy?
If you need to cancel your registration please notify staff as soon as possible so the space can be offered to another participant. Note that cancellations less than 7 days prior to the course will not be eligible for a refund. However, credit will be offered to the next available course. Cancellations less than 24 hours prior to the course will not be entitled to a refund or a credit. Participants who do not show up for the course and/or exam will also not be entitled to a refund or a credit. Note: The above refund policy also applies to the course textbooks, as the books are ordered specifically for the number of participants registered in a class.
