If you have successfully completed ITA Levels 1 and 2 in Landscape Horticulture, PHC offers the opportunity to further your education with Level 3 and Level 4 Landscape Horticulturist Technical Training Programs. These programs will prepare you to write the ITA provincial Level 3 exam and the inter-provincial Red Seal Exam in Landscape Horticulture. Levels 3 and 4 are both offered full-time (6 weeks per level) over the winter or part-time (5 months) during the year. Each program includes both classroom and practical components.

Tuition for each level is $1,350* (including program resource binder), plus a $20 non-refundable application fee.  You must provide your own personal protective equipment (boots, gloves, goggles, earplugs, and rain gear).

Topics covered in the Level 3 program include Hardscaping, Plant Health, Soils, Irrigation & Drainage, Softscape Maintenance, Plant Identification, Interior Plantscapes, Organize Work, Preconstruction Activities, and Tools & Equipment.

FULL-TIME Level 4: November 2020 to January 2021

Program Details: Full time; 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday

(Note: holiday break TBA).

Topics covered in the Level 4 program include Softscape Maintenance, Plant Identification, Green Infrastructure, Cultural Management of Trees, Plant Health, Turfgrass Management, Erosion Control, Organize Work, Preconstruction Activities, and Sales & Marketing.
