Floral Design Interest List

Develop your creativity and technique with the floral design program at the HCP. The program has three levels each with its own certificate of completion. Participants will learn industry-level design techniques, how to work with a variety of materials and how to care for fresh flower arrangements.

This course is suitable for those interested in joining the floral industry and those wanting to create arrangements for a special event. Each level consists of two full days of classroom time and a field trip. All fresh flowers are included in course fees.

Floral Design – Level 1

Two full days – 9:30am – 4:30pm & Field Trip

Explore the basics of floral design, including the care and handling of fresh flowers. Learn the fundamental concepts of floral design and gain the necessary foundation for employment in the floral industry. The course includes two full days of classroom time and a field trip to a rose farm.

 

Floral Design – Level 2

Two full days – 9:30am – 4:30pm & Field Trip

Advance your floral arranging skills with exciting new design ideas. Gain valuable hands-on experience with current industry concepts. The course includes two full days of classroom time and a field trip to a flower farm.
Recommended: Completion of Floral Design Level 1

Floral Design – Level 3

Two full days – 9:30am – 4:30pm & Field Trip

Further develop your creativity and explore the elements of design. Practice the latest trends in floral design technique. Explore a variety of flowers, including tropicals, and use them to create distinctive, stylish arrangements to take home. 15 hours in class plus field trip.

Instructor Biography: Linda Rambaud

Linda was born in the countryside of France and also greatly influenced by the backyard full of her Grandmother’s flowers in Portugal. She studied horticulture and accomplished a master degree in floral design, horticulture and commercialization of plants and flowers.
Early in her career, she had as a mentor Jean Tessier in Nantes. He participated to the success of well-known hotels in Paris like Georges V and le Bistrol. Linda continued her mentorship with Celine Dussaule who was famous in Japan for their very fragrant bouquets.
Thereafter she had the opportunity to move to the west of Canada and experience the mountain and vast scenery. She continued her education and learned landscape design and mixed flower design. Linda Rambaud is passionate about nature and art. She has found the perfect combination of her two loves by becoming a master floral designer and teacher.
