Willow Bark Basket

**Registration opens Sat. May 30 at noon**

Tree barks provide one of nature’s most beautiful materials for basket making. Instructor Joan Carrigan will begin with a discussion covering how to harvest and prepare willow bark for weaving. Participants will incorporate a variety of weaving patterns such as plaiting and twining variations using a selection of materials on hand ranging from barks, sedge, daylily leaves and waxed threads. Great for beginners.

Your registration includes admission to The Gardens at HCP - bring your lunch and enjoy the grounds.
