ADULT COMMUNITY EDUCATION | WORKSHOP |FULL-DAY
Instructor Joan Carrigan will guide you as you weave a traditional European style basket, used for centuries as a household gathering and storage basket. This version has 2 round hoops forming the handle and opening of the basket. Materials will include natural and dyed reed along with seagrass and cordage. Although seagrass will be on hand, participants will learn how to make their own cordage from local plant materials and will have the option to incorporate it in their basket. This basket is suitable for all levels.
