Donate your Holiday Greens!

The holidays are nearing and soon it will be time for Wreath Making Classes at the HCP. We aim to have over 280 participants signed up to make a wreath this year. Wreath Making classes are a fantastic fundraiser for the HCP.  We are reaching out to the gardening community to donate plant materials that would otherwise be composted.

If you are cutting back any of the plants on our favourites list below or if you have cuttings that would be great in a wreath, please save them for us. We need large quantities of each type and big enough bits to wire into a wreath. We will be accepting materials November 20 - December 7.

Greens can be dropped off at Gate 4 on Quayle Road. If the gate is locked, you can leave it just outside the gate. If you have a large quantity and need it to be collected, please contact either Cheri at [email protected] or Linda at [email protected]. We very much appreciate your help!

Below is a list of our favourite holiday greens for wreath making. What are some of your favourites? Email [email protected] if you have something unusual that works great in outdoor holiday arrangements and keep fresh for a long time.
