Fall Plant Sale - September 30th
The Gardens at HCP Plant Sale is this Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm. All prices on plants will be reduced 25% with further reductions on plants in our bargain bin. This is a great chance to fill in some spots in your garden with some beauties from the Gardens at HCP. Most of the plants for sale have been propagated from our gardens with help with our two volunteer propagation groups.
Our Head Gardener, Linda Petite has three picks for you with year round interest.
1) Viburnum tinus
- easy to grow evergreen shrub
- sun or shade
- fragrant pinkish-white blooms in spring followed by metallic blue berries
- 2-3m.height
- excellent hedge or specimen plant
2 )Hebe 'Quicksilver'
- unique evergreen shrub with open spreading habit
- full-part sun
- tiny silver gray foliage ,lilac flowers in summer
- 5m spread
- ideal ground cover and container plant
3) Lonicera nitida 'Lemon Beauty'
- excellent evergreen shrub for borders and hedging
- full-part sun
- dramatic green/yellow variegated foliage
- tiny flowers in the spring followed by pale purple berries
- 5m. height
- easily clipped
